Nomura is haunted by dreams of a ronin (masterless samurai) that she believes is her past life. These dreams unravel her perception of violence in modern life. As her doctor attempts to steer her away from the notion that violence is unavoidable, her reality abruptly shifts. Violence may well be inescapable.
Animated using new, non-traditional hand-drawn techniques, KuroKumo represents a departure from standard production methods in that not a single sheet of paper was used in the animation of this film. |
